Dixie (Foster #56)

We picked up Dixie on Saturday, April 19. She is a sweet young golden. She is completely housebroken. She is beginning to play with our two young goldens. She will go in the crate, but she doesn't really need to be crated. She has not stolen any socks or torn up any furniture. She does know some simple commands and she learned to use the doggy door in about a day or so. More, when we get to know her.

In Memory of Lady (Foster #55)

Lady came to us from Arkansas on Thursday, April 10. She arrived on the Peterson Transport around 8:00 p.m. Tim and I took her to Little Jon's Animall for a nice warm bath. There was a beutiful golden girl under all that dirt. She settled in with our goldens and seemed to enjoy just being with our family. She was a very quiet girl with a touch of sadness in her eyes. On Sunday, April 13th, Lady had 3 seizures. On Monday, she received some medication for the seizures and we thought for sure that Lady would be ok. We were prepared to foster her for a long time. Her health then turned for the worse and it was time for her to go. Even though she was only with us for a short while, her memory will last forever.
