Pretty Girl!

Lynn and Troy came over today to groom Sunshine.  Her feet, ears and tail look so good.  She was such a good girl while Troy and Lynn worked on her.  She is a beautiful Sunshine and her new family will be so proud of her.

Sunshine and Sugar

Sunshine reminds me so much of my first dog.  For my college graduation, all I wanted was an Irish Setter.  I named her Sugar and she was a sweetheart.  I found some pictures of Sugar when she was about 1-2 years old.  Of course, I did not have the date on the picture so I am just guessing.  Sunshine has the same personality that my sweet Sugar had.  Sunshine is going to make her new family very happy.

Sunshine likes to lay down while she eats.  She is such a great girl.  She is housebroken and does not need to be crated.

Sunshine (foster #94)

Meet our new foster girl, Sunshine.  Walker went on a play date (to another foster home) a week or so ago, and he is still there.  It was time for me to head back to school and Walker did not want to stay in one of those crates all day.  He is having a big time at his other foster home.   I picked up Little Miss Sunshine last week and she is a doll.  She is a victim of those nasty heartworms but other than that, she is a healthy and precious young lady.

Walker went over to my sister's house to visit this morning.  He met Gidget and Gracie and liked hanging out in the back yard and eying the swimming pool.  He did jump him once but I don't think he liked the salt water.  He loves being around Matthew.  He did not want to jump up into the truck, but he did fine once he got in.

Walker update

Walker is really enjoying being in a nice cool house.  With the heat index near 109 degrees, the goldens don't stay out too long.  Cedar would love to play ball, but it is too hot.  He will get to play for a short while in an hour or so.  Walker has realized that he can play with the toys in the basket.  He took each item out of the basket and put it on the patio.  One by one he took out a bone, a ball or a tug rope and took it outside.

Meet our new foster boy.  He is getting to know just how great it is to have a family that cares for him.  He is a little shy right now, but once he knows that he is safe and loved, this beautiful boy will be shine.  If anyone remembers seeing the movie "Puppy Paws"  then you can see the resemblance.  He has already learned to go in and out the doggy door and he is beginning to play with the Nyla bone.  He can already go up and down the stairs.  Check back for more updates.
