Ruby

Ruby has settled in at her foster home.  She is one of the sweetest goldens we have fostered.  She reminds me of our girl Ginger.  She has already learned to use the doggy door.  She is very laid back and quiet.  She just wants a family that will love her.

We picked up Ruby today and she is recovering from her surgery (spay).  It is evident that someone did not take good care of this precious gem.  She looks so much like our girl Ginger when she was younger. Check back soon for an update.  I just know that she will begin to shine when she realizes that she is safe and loved.

From Memphis to Maine!

Lille Belle arrived safely in Maine.  She is getting to know her new family and they love her already.  I will admit that I got a little teary eyed over this little one.  It never gets any easier to let them go.  I came across a story titled "Just a Dog" and for me, and fosters like me, it's not "Just a Dog."  It's a combination of the hope for their future, the memories of the time we shared with them and the joy of the moment that keeps us going. The words "Who Rescued Who?" says it all.

Lillie Belle is Homeward Bound!

As I write this entry, Lillie Belle is on the transport headed to her forever home.  She is truly homeward bound.  We will miss her sweet smile.  We love you LB!

All fosters need a big sis to show them the ropes.  Lillie Belle loves her big sis Karma.  Our walk (or hop) did not last very long.  We were trying to walk two yahoos at once.  Lillie was actually the better walker.

Lillie Belle is so much fun to have around.  She went to the Germantown Festival with us yesterday and everyone loved her.  She got to meet lots of people and lots of goldens.  She even met 2 big Great Danes as we were leaving.  Of course, I forgot to take my camera so no pictures.  When we got home Lillie took a nap and then she was ready to play.  She and Karma enjoyed playing with the tug rope.  She also enjoyed getting the tennis ball when Cedar was too slow.  He was so patient waiting for her to give it up.  She is so much fun to watch.

Meet Lillie Belle (foster #95)

Meet our new foster girl, Lillie Belle.  She is such a sweet little "baby girl".  She met our goldens and played outside with them for a little while and now she is taking a nap.  She just wants a family that will love her and take good care of her.  She is learning to use the doggy door and she does fine walking up and down the stairs.  Check back soon for more updates and pictures.

Lillie Bell (foster #95)

Check back tomorrow afternoon for an update on Lillie Bell.  We will be picking up Lillie Bell tomorrow morning.  She is a young 9-month old golden girl.

Sunshine's last night

Sunshine will travel to her new home tomorrow.  We will miss our little Miss Sunshine.
