When we first met this sweet girl, we knew she would fill a void in our family. On November 1, 2008, we lost our 14 year old golden, Ginger. On the same day, we picked up a sweet little golden stray. She was truly a special girl. Charmie would become our Karma. Charmie came to MAGRR from a shelter and she truly needed some special care. Even though she does not have a left front paw, she does not let this slow her down. It does however, cause your heart to skip a beat or two. When we first met Karma, she helped us see that things do happen for a reason. As one door closed, another opened. We have found our 2nd sweet baby girl. Karma has 3 golden brothers that look out for her:
Cody (adopted 1999)
Cedar (adopted 2005)
Robbie (adopted 2006)
This blog is used to share information, pictures, and video about the golden retrievers that we foster for the Memphis Area Golden Retriever Rescue. Fosters leave pawprints on your heart!

Karma (foster #62)
Karma is a keeper! She has been with us for 3 weeks. She has settled in with our golden group. Karma is a sweet baby girl and she loves to be around people. She is missing her left front paw, so it she does tire out quickly. She has learned to use the doggy door and she knows sit. She does not let her handicap get in her way.

Lucy will be missed!
A "golden" mess!

Lucy will be traveling to her new home in a few days. She has really had a lot of fun playing with her foster brothers. We will miss this sweet little "Baby Girl". I know that she will enjoy playing with her new brother, Harlee. The hardest part of fostering these golden babies, is having to let them go.

Leila (Foster #61)
Leila was rescued from a shelter. She is about a year old and very energetic. She is a sweet girl and we are working on simple commands. She does know how to use the doggy door and she is house trained. It took her a few days to learn how to play with Cedar and Robbie. This afternoon she played ball. She will get the ball and then drop it so that Cedar could retrieve it. More to come as we get to know this little girl.
