Flash Update

Flash is getting to know his foster brothers and sister. He and Karma are beginning to play. I had to start back to school yesterday, so Flash had to go in the crate. We are not sure if he will do ok in the house all day. He has been fine in the crate so we will begin to trust him a little more when we are gone. Some people don't like to use crates, but it can sometimes save valuable items. It is always a good idea to crate a new dog until you feel that he or she can be trusted. By the way, have I mentioned that he is such a handsome boy?

Flash

Flash has settled in at his foster home. We are getting to know this boy more each day. He is not completely housebroken but we are working on it. He loves to be around people and he just follows me from room to room. He does settle down and he just enjoys being part of the family.

Meet Flash, our new foster. As you can see, he is a beautiful red boy. He is 4 years old and just a sweetheart. He meet my 8-year old nephew and he is doing fine with our golden crew. More to come as we get to know this boy.

Karma K

Hi, Karma here. If you have been visiting this blog lately, not much as been going on in the Wartenberg foster world. Bosco left last Friday, and it has been a boring week. I decided that I wanted to post something and what Karma wants, Karma gets. It has been so hot lately that I really just enjoy laying around in the house on the cool concrete floor. My dad bought me a fountain today and I had to try it out. I guess if I go outside, I can always lay by the little fountain. Robbie has been playing tug with me while Cedar runs after the tennis ball. I don't think he cares if it is 98 degrees with 100% humidity. He just loves to retrieve. My mom got an email today about fostering Flash. So, check back tomorrow and see if I have a new foster. He looks like a very handsome boy. I can't wait. I sure hope he likes to play. Bosco gets adopted!

Bosco will be traveling to his new home today. He is such a great boy. We will miss his sweet face and Karma will miss her best bud. This is the hardest part of fostering. I fall in love when I first meet them, and then I have to let them go. I won't pretend, it is hard. We love you Bosco.

Bosco

Hi everyone, Bosco here. I have been quiet this past week. I have been getting to know my foster family. I am having a great time. I have fetched the tennis ball (but I did not want to give it back). I have gotten new nylabones to chew on and I have discovered that Karma is pretty good at playing with the tug rope. We all got brushed a few days ago and I have a beautiful picture to post. My foster mom caught me playing with the tennis ball last night but she did not have her video camera downstairs. I like to bounce the ball on the concrete floor and then go and get it. I really don't need a playmate, but don't tell Karma.

Karma takes Robbie for a walk

We were out in the backyard about a week ago introducing Bosco to our goldens. Robbie and Bosco both had leashes on. Robbie tends to be our bossy boy so we have to introduce him to fosters very carefully. Once he meets them, he is fine. Anyway, we had a leash on Robbie and Karma decided to take him for a walk around the yard. Karma is our 3 legged girl so it was a sight to see.

Missy arrived at her new home in Massachusetts today. We will miss her so much. I took these pictures the morning she left.
