Jake has a new best friend. Matthew came over this afternoon to see the dogs and pitch the baseball with Tim. Cedar became the "ball boy" and if Matthew missed a ball, he would go get it and place it in his glove.

Silly Goldens
Jake is standing on the patio looking handsome. Karma is barking at Robbie (she is a bossy girl). Cedar is trying to get Robbie to give up the tennis ball. I've got proof of Cedar digging and Jake goes over and potties on the hole. By the way, Cedar loves to retrieve the ball and Robbie just chews on it. But of course, Cedar only wants to retrieve the ball that Robbie has. Needlesss to say, it is not dull around my house.

Peaches has a big day!
Peaches had a big day today. Since she will be leaving tomorrow, she wanted to see Matthew one more time. First we stopped by the Vet's office to get her official weight. She weighs 46.5 lbs. We then walked up to school to surprise Matthew. With a little practice, she will walk good on the leash. She also got to meet Gidget and Gracie (Matthew's two dogs). She was a little timid at first, but after a few minutes she was playing with them.

Griffin gets adopted!
As I write this blog entry, Griffin is on his way to meet his new family. As any foster family will tell you, this is the hardest part. We are so thankful that we got to meet Griffin. Just in case you don't know the story about Griffin, he is a litter mate of Tres. Griffin, Tres and several other pups were rescued from a puppy mill. Tres was such a very special boy and I still miss him everyday. We were already fostering Peaches when Griffin was returned and we jumped at a chance to foster him. I have enjoyed every moment with this sweet boy. I could always count on getting some golden kisses from the Griff. Not only is he beautiful, but he a great dog. We love you Griffin and I know that Peaches will miss you too. She is just waiting for her new family to come her way. As you can see from the video, Peaches loves to play too.
