Our dogs!

Since we don't have a MAGRR foster dog right now, I thought I would give our goldens a little blog time. They have helped us foster so many rescued goldens that I thought they should be in the spotlight.

We adopted Cedar in 2005. We fostered his mom and 6 siblings. After fostering the puppies for 8 weeks, we could not let the little blonde boy go. Cedar is very layed back and loves to be around his mom. He is the reason why MAGRR helped rescue Missy and Barrett. I have a soft spot for those beautiful blonde "labs". I do have to remind people from time to time, that Cedar is a Golden Retriever and we have proof. He is not really interested in playing with the fosters, but he does get along with everyone. Cedar only plays with Karma and Robbie. He loves to go to Shelby Farms and swim. He is a great retriever. He will go after the tennis ball, then bring it back and place it in your hand.

We adopted Robbie in 2006 when he was only about a year old. He was rescued from the Memphis Animal Shelter. Robbie is our alpha boy. He wants all of the fosters to know that he is the canine in charge. Over the years, Robbie has settled down a bit and he tolerates the fosters. He likes to chase the tennis ball, but when he gets it, he lays down and chews the cover off. When we first took him to Shelby Farms, years ago, Tim had to teach him how to swim. I will never forget that first trip to the lake and watching my big boy learn to swim.

We adopted Karma in 2008 when she was about a year old. She was recued from the Memphis Animal Shelter. We lost our sweet golden girl, Ginger on the same day that we were scheduled to pick up a new foster. After losing Ginger, we decided that it was "karma" that brought this little tripod girl into our lives. Her MAGRR name was Charmie, but we changed it to Karma. She is missing her left front paw. We aren't sure, but it looks like she was born this way. She is our sweet little "buttercup". Now don't get me wrong, Karma is the queen of the canines at our house. She always seems to get her way with her two brothers. She has helped us foster so many goldens and we can always depend on Karma to play with the fosters. Karma is also known as K.K., Karma K., Butter, and Baby Girl.

I'm still here!

Hi everybody! It's been cold in Memphis, but I have enjoyed playing in the snow. We still have some snow in our yard, but most of it is gone. My foster mom found a video from a few weeks ago. She thought I was cute when I drank water out of the bucket. By the way, I am a growing girl. I weighed about 30 lbs. just a few weeks ago. I hope you enjoy my videos. Holly

Oh no, if you watch the entire video, Tres is in it near the end. I think my mom has a few tears in her eyes, but she loves to watch her sweet boy. I have been trying to be a sweet girl so my foster parents won't be sad. I heard my mom say just the other day that having me around has helped them get through this difficult time.

Fun in the snow!

Well, my wish came true. It snowed in Memphis. We got about 4 inches and I love playing in it. I have been doing some cute things lately and my foster mom has a few pictures to share. She also took some video of us playing in the snow. I hope you enjoy my update. Holly

More Holly

Good morning everybody. We are waiting patiently for the snow. It is suppose to snow this evening into Monday and we are hoping for a snow day. My foster mom has her camera battery charging and just waiting to take some cool video of us playing in the snow. I did hear my foster dad talking about the weather people around here. Sometimes we get our hopes up and the snow just misses us. It is fun to be hopeful though. I am getting my beauty rest just in case. My dad took this "cute" picture of me on the coffee table. My foster parents don't usually let us get on the table, but they did have to take my cute picture.

Let it snow! Let it snow!

I just found out that my foster mom has to go back to school tomorrow. I am now wishing for a snow day (and secretly, she is too) so please let it snow. I put a few snow flakes on my blog page, so maybe it will snow soon. I don't think snow is in the forecast, but it doesn't hurt to be wishful.

Holly

I had a wonderful new year's celebration at my foster home. I was spayed on Thursday, so I was feeling fine by Saturday. I weigh 30 lbs. and I am a growing girl. Tres has not felt very good so he hasn't been playing with me. It might look like I just lay around and nap all day, but I do like to play. I like to go to the top of the stairs and let the tennis ball roll down and then I run down and get it. It is lots of fun. My foster mom is always taking the cutest pictures of me. Talk to you later, Holly.
