Honey Bear (now Bella) boarded the transport on Friday and headed home. She arrived safely on Saturday and is adjusting well to her new home. We will miss sweet little Honey Bear. We saw her transform from a scared, timid little thing to just one of the pack. The transport was running a little late, so she just had to take a little nap. Friday was an especially hard day for us. We had to let Cody go to the Rainbow Bridge and we had to let Bella go to her new home. Even though we will never see these two again, they will always remain in our memories.

She is doing great. We went to the vets yesterday for a checkup.
She's had a few problems with the "outdoor plumbing" thing....she thinks she needs to go indoors but all in all it's improving. She is still skittish about some things but she learns quickly and is very happy to be with her "people". We love having her.

Hi Gerry
I think of you often and want to thank you again for the wonderful care that you showed Bella. It's difficult to believe that it's been two years since she came to live with us. She is doing very well. Her personality has remained a bit timid but she loves the cat and her daily walks in the woods. No further health problems. She is just one of the family. I am so tempted to adopt another Golden...maybe in the spring.
God Bless you for all that you do.
Happy Holidays

Hello Gerry
I found some paperwork from when we adopted Bella in 2009 so I looked on your blog and found this. She is still with us and is now 11. She is loved, still a bit timid of some things, and best friends with the cat Spanky. She loves her daily walks especially in the woods behind our house, the neighborhood children and whenever she gets to go for an adventure with her "fam". Her favorite time is just hanging in the back yard soaking up the sun or rolling in the snow in the winter.
Thank you again for all that you do. She is a love.
Best wishes
Jane, Tom, Alex, Bella and Spanky, South Portland, Maine.
